Calgary classrooms going textbook-free

Calgary classrooms going textbook-free:

"CALGARY — For generations of children, textbooks have been as ubiquitous in schools as teachers and pencils.

But in a growing number of modern classrooms it’s now tough to find any sign of that weighty math or history volume.

In a world increasingly awash in information, some schools in Calgary have essentially become “textbook-free,” pushing away from what some see as an over regimented method of learning."
