 "Finland’s high-performing public schools are often held up as a model for educators elsewhere, and many reformers suggest that superior teaching is the secret to the Finns’ success.

But in an Op-Ed that appeared recently in the Washington Post, Finnish education expert Pasi Sahlberg suggests that his country’s top teachers would be hard-pressed to improve student performances in underperforming U.S. schools."
