I started my PHD six years ago, my courses were great I zipped through them in 18 months. Then the fun started for four and half years I have worked full time, and a full time student and it has taken a toll on me and my family. But I just got a glimmer of the light at the end of the tunnel. The University that I am attending in the United States has a milestone process for dissertation creation. I was told I just passed my third (the hardest milestone). Only two more to go. I realized the toll and stress it has caused me because the announcement almost put me in tears... I will be a Doctor soon. Then I will be able to breath and reintroduce myself to my friends, family, and society.
