Increase Your Digital Clout Day 11/30

Building interest

We are 1/3rd the way through the 30 days.  We have just finished working on the four big main social networking tools.  Now it is time to look at things you should use to make your postings more interesting, to get people to read them, follow you or share the entry with their own network.  There are many articles out there that will tell you the best way to make your postings more interesting…

I was trying to think of ways to make my blog more interesting and came up with a few different things to help spice up my entries.
Daily Quotes:  Quotes are the best entries when you are looking for quick likes and shares
Pictures:   A goal should be to put an image with every entry, remember a picture is worth a thousand words. Use google image search and click on the tab called search tools, usage rights and make sure the images are free to use and then add that to your entries…google has made it easy.
Humor:  Everyone loves a good laugh.
Daily Cartoon: I took the daily quotes one step farther by making the more humourous ones into cartoons using an online cartoon generator called: Toondoo… Http://toondoo.com  There are other cartoon generators but I liked Toondoo.
Videos:  We will talk more about videos on another day, but videos are a great way to increase your clout on the web…and now most laptops come with a video camera and you do not have to be really professional you just have to share.  YouTube is awesone…
It takes time to build up a storage area of these entry elements.  Set a goal in mind and start to save them in your social networking sites and in no time at all, you too will have your own collection of quotes, images, humor, cartoons and videos.
The instructions for this tenth day are short but when you start looking at these different collects, you will waste hours.  You have been warned.
In Project Management terminology:
The Project
  • Building a Foundation for a Social Media Network.
Deliverable (is the noun):
  • Enhance your entries
Tasks (is a verb):
  • Take about an hour and check out the websites and articles above
  • Waste a pile of time looking at the stuff on the sites but in the back of your head start to develop your own collections.
